Master of Your Heritage – A FREE practical workshop
This is a FREE workshop brought to you by Tempting Failure. The workshop is OPEN TO ALL, inclusive of diverse social and cultural backgrounds. Families are welcome as well as individuals. This workshop is for people who have no experience of performance, just have a desire to join in and share some stories over a meal.
This workshop will focus on the sharing of stories about each participants’ different countries and their ethnicities through the medium of food. It will be a 3 hour session in which you will be invited to participate in the making of a communal meal to be shared by all present.
Every nation, every country, has its own traditions and a lot of them revolve around food and cooking. You can identify most cultures by its food. In turn, food brings memories with it.

Xavier de Sousa is an independent performance maker and producer. Having grown up with Europe’s oldest performance art festival, CITEMOR (Portugal), he has been working solidly in theatre, dance and live art since graduating from Kingston University in 2010. He currently works with live artist jamie lewis hadley, choreographers Evangelia Kolyra & Sivan Rubinstein, The Place, performance maker Tom Ross Williams and is a resident producer at the Live Art Development Agency.
